July 19 to 25, 2026: Your Turn in the Light
The Sun enters Leo July 22 and Mercury turns direct July 24. After weeks of staying small, this week's blend helps you step into being seen without bracing for it.
For weeks the move has been to stay small and keep quiet. This week the sky stops backing that up.
You know how to disappear. Being seen got you hurt, so you got good at the edges of the room and saying less than you meant. It kept you safe. It also kept you unseen.
This week’s transit oil blend recipe is for stepping into the warm part of the room without your whole body bracing for it.
The Sun moves into Leo and Mercury turns direct, a few days apart. The season of being seen begins, and the words you have been sitting on start coming back. Your nervous system is going to read both as exposure. The blend is here so you can do it anyway, slowly.
Here’s what’s going on in the sky that’s stirring this up
Two things turn this week, close together.
The Sun moves into Leo on July 22. Leo is the sign of warmth, being seen, taking your turn, doing things out loud. After Cancer season pulled everyone inward, this is the lights coming up. If you spent the last few weeks small, you will feel the pull to step forward, and probably the flinch that comes right behind it.
Mercury turns direct on July 24, after three weeks retrograde in Cancer. That is the fog lifting. The conversation you could not have, the words that would not come, the decision about home or someone close that you could not make yet, all of it starts to clear. Things said now tend to stick, where things said two weeks ago did not.
Venus is in Virgo and Mars is in Gemini, so there is plenty of mental energy to put the returning words to use. Just give it until the 24th before you say the big thing.
This Week’s Transit Oil Blend
Make it once. Roll it on every morning before you touch your phone. That’s the whole thing.
2 drops frankincense oil
2 drops bergamot oil, the FCF kind
2 drops sweet orange oil
10ml carrier oil (jojoba, fractionated coconut, or sweet almond) in a roller bottle
6 drops in 10ml, about 2.4%
Use the FCF (bergapten-free) kind of bergamot so it is safe in daylight.
Stepping forward, then pulling back? Roll it on again. The second you take up space, the old reflex fires:
shrinking right after you speak up
adding “but I’m probably wrong” to something you meant
giving the warm moment away before you can feel it
waiting for someone to put you back in your place
None of that is modesty. It is an old alarm that learned being seen was dangerous. The blend gives your body a steadier read, so you can stay in the light a few seconds longer each time.
Missing one? Swap it:
Frankincense →
cedarwood oil (grounding, a little softer)
or copaiba oil (steadying, gentle on skin)
Bergamot FCF →
sweet orange oil (warm, lifts the mood)
or neroli oil (calming, not phototoxic)
Sweet orange →
mandarin oil (soft, calming citrus)
or lemon oil, the distilled kind (bright, not phototoxic)
What the Week Feels Like (and What to Do Each Day)
Each day: what it will feel like, what the blend does, and a meditation to search.
Sunday into Monday, July 19 to 20. The last of the fog.
The Sun is finishing its run through Cancer, and Mercury is crawling, almost stopped, about to turn. This is the heaviest part of the retrograde, right before it lifts.
You’ll notice:
words still not coming out right
a decision about home or someone close that you can’t quite make yet
a restless, almost-there feeling
Your blend will keep you steady in the waiting instead of forcing it. Roll it on and let the last few foggy days be foggy.
Meditation to search: patience and trust.
Tuesday into Thursday, July 21 to 23. The lights come up.
The Sun moves into Leo on July 22, and the first quarter moon adds a push. Leo season is the part of the year that is about being seen, warm, and out loud. After weeks of small, this is the turn.
You’ll notice:
a pull to step forward, share, or be visible
the old flinch right behind it
a bit of friction or a dare to act, which is the first quarter moon
Your blend will keep you grounded so you can step into the warmth without bracing for a hit. Roll it on before anything that puts eyes on you.
Meditation to search: it’s safe to shine.
Friday into Saturday, July 24 to 25. The words come back.
Mercury turns direct on July 24. After three weeks backward, the fog lifts. The thing you have been trying to say or decide gets clear.
You’ll notice:
a conversation you have been avoiding finally feeling possible
clarity about an emotional or family matter
words arriving more easily
Your blend will keep you calm enough to say it well instead of all at once.
Meditation to search: speaking your truth.
What Changes If You Ride It
Skip it and you let the season turn without you. The lights come up and you stay at the edge of the room, and when Mercury goes direct you say the thing in a rush or not at all.
Ride it, with the blend each morning, and you practice being seen in small, survivable doses while the sky is finally on your side for it. You let the words come back without dumping them all at once. You are teaching your nervous system the thing it never got to learn: that being visible and being safe can happen together.
This isn’t about performing confidence. It is about not leaving the room right when it is your turn.
Leo season isn’t putting you on the spot to expose you. It is giving you a turn you were always owed.
How I’m Using It This Week
Staying at the edge of the room is my native setting. Being seen got me punished young, so I learned to be useful and quiet and easy to skip over. Leo season pulling me forward feels less like an invitation and more like a setup, even now. And the thing I have been needing to say has been stuck in my throat the whole retrograde.
The collective blend steadies me in the warmth. Mine takes the panic out of being looked at and helps the words come.
My roller: 2 drops bergamot FCF oil, 2 drops neroli oil, 2 drops sweet orange oil in 10ml jojoba (about 2.4%).
bergamot FCF: lifts me toward the light instead of away from it
neroli: takes the panic out of being seen
sweet orange: keeps it warm, so visible feels safe
Sternum every morning, before the phone. When I catch myself shrinking right after I speak, I roll it on again.
Meditations I’m searching this week:
it’s safe to be seen meditation
speaking your truth meditation
you are allowed to take up space meditation
releasing old shame meditation
Sneak Peek: July 26 to August 1
An Aquarius full moon arrives around July 29.
Will feel like: a sudden need for space, or a feeling that has been building finally spilling over.
Why it matters: after stepping into Leo’s warmth, the full moon in Aquarius pulls the other way, toward room, distance, and seeing the bigger picture instead of only your part in it.
One oil: lavender. For when the feelings crest. (Frankincense if you want something grounding.)
Oils are optional. The transit is not.

The Nerd Section
The mechanisms behind this week’s collective blend:
Frankincense. Incensole acetate, a Boswellia constituent, activates TRPV3 channels in the brain and produced anxiolytic and antidepressive effects in mice. Human inhalation trials are still limited, so this one is mechanistic. It earns its spot as the grounding note.
Bergamot works on mood through serotonin (5-HT1A, not GABA) and lowers cortisol with a parasympathetic shift. It is phototoxic when expressed, so the FCF (bergapten-free) version is the daytime choice.
Sweet Orange is calming, not energizing: adenosine A2A into dopaminergic and GABAergic activity, with cortisol reduction. Not phototoxic.
