How to Discover What You Should Get Paid For
Jupiter Retrograde Made Me Realize I've Been Doing Business Backwards
I kept trying to create elaborate services when someone finally asked me: "What do you already do that helps people without trying?"
1. What do people come to you for (even when you don't want them to)?
For me: Decisions they've already made but won't admit.
2. What's your most annoying trait that's actually valuable?
For me: I see the obvious immediately and can't pretend I don't.
3. What have you survived that others are currently drowning in?
For me: Analysis paralysis, toxic relationships, starting over at 40.
4. What do you do naturally that others find impossible?
For me: Pattern recognition. Seeing the real issue under the presented problem.
5. What would you do even if nobody paid you?
For me: Tell people their own truth until they believe it.
The formula:
[Your annoying trait] + [What you survived] + [What others avoid] = What to charge for
I'm not a coach, therapist, or guru. I'm just someone who got tired of watching people negotiate with reality. Turns out, that's worth $500 per session.
Try it:
Answer those five questions. Don't edit. First thought, best thought. Then look at what emerged and ask: "Who would pay me to stop doing this for free?"

Mercury retrograde says look backwards to move forward. What have you been giving away that someone would gratefully pay for?
