December 14–20, 2025
Fog, Then Foundation
The week opens with Mars square Neptune on December 14, scattering motivation and making action misfire; if clarity feels unreachable, it’s because it isn’t available yet, don’t force it.
That same day, Sun trine Chiron offers a gentler undercurrent, making wounds around identity and purpose easier to name without the usual sting.
On December 15, Mars enters Capricorn (2:34 AM EST), shifting scattered fire into structured earth; your body may feel a sudden urge to organize, plan, or commit before your mind catches up.
Sun square Saturn arrives December 16–17, bringing friction with authority, limitation, or your own inner critic; something feels blocked, too slow, or impossibly hard.
Finally, the New Moon in Sagittarius on December 19 (8:43 PM EST) offers a blank page; new moons are for planting intentions, not harvesting results.
In nervous-system terms: expect initial fog and frustration, followed by a grounding shift, confrontation with limits, then release into possibility. The overarching invitation is to stop forcing, trust the body’s readiness for structure, and let the reset arrive on its own timing.
Fragrance Blend of the Week
Base (Grounding): Vetiver Deeply grounding during mental scatter, vetiver roots attention in the body when Mars-Neptune dissolves direction. Traditional use for embodiment—limited clinical data. Cedarwood or Patchouli offer similar earthy anchoring if vetiver feels too heavy.
Heart (Emotional Regulation): Lavender Lavender modulates GABA-A receptors, reducing anxiety and supporting nervous system regulation during Sun-Saturn friction and inner critic activation. Roman Chamomile or Clary Sage provide comparable calming if lavender isn’t your preference.
Top (Mental Clarity): Rosemary Rosemary inhibits acetylcholinesterase, supporting focus and mental clarity as Mars moves into structured Capricorn and asks for directed action. Contraindicated in epilepsy. Peppermint or Basil deliver similar cognitive support if rosemary doesn’t suit you.
Why this blend supports you:
Vetiver counters the directionless drift of Mars-Neptune fog, anchoring you in the body when the mind can’t find traction
Lavender downregulates the stress response when Saturn pressure activates self-criticism and frustration
Rosemary clears the fog as Mars shifts into Capricorn, supporting the emerging impulse toward structure
How to use it: Diffuse 3 drops vetiver, 3 drops lavender, and 2 drops rosemary in 200ml water during morning grounding. For on-the-go support, inhale from a tissue or apply 1 drop each (diluted in carrier oil) to inner wrists and temples. Always patch-test and avoid ingestion.
Mini practice: When fog or friction rises, pause. Breathe in the blend for three slow cycles, then ask: What am I trying to force that isn’t ready? and What does my body already know? Let the scent anchor you while clarity emerges on its own timing.

Next Week’s Sneak Peek
Next week asks you to stand in the threshold between what’s ending and what’s beginning as the Winter Solstice arrives December 21 (Sun enters Capricorn), Venus squares both Saturn and Neptune creating confusion around relationships and values, and Jupiter square Chiron surfaces old wounds around hope and whether expansion is safe.
Oils to have on hand:
Frankincense – activates TRPV3 receptors, supporting grounded presence during threshold moments and sacred transitions | Substitute: Cedarwood or Sandalwood
Geranium – balances the nervous system during emotional flux, supporting heart-centered processing when Venus is under pressure | Substitute: Rose or Ylang Ylang
Sweet Orange – reduces cortisol and supports GABA pathways; calming, not energizing (counter to common assumptions) | Substitute: Mandarin or Bergamot (phototoxic—avoid sun)
The longest night arrives, and with it the question: What are you willing to build in the dark?
These oils support your nervous system and are optional, vetted tools from my client-use apothecary practice. Prepare at your own pace.
